Historic Luxury​ Showhouse​

Nestled in the heart of Lincoln Park, Chicago, this 1917 Georgian-style mansion boasts
a captivating history and timeless charm. Once the residence of Titanic survivor Emily
Ryerson and her children, this 16,000-square-foot estate has been meticulously
transformed into two grand luxury homes a century later. Now, the property is set to
become a Showcase Showhouse, where top designers have been invited to infuse each
room with elegance and creativity to support local charities—Thresholds and Big
Shoulders Fund.

Our team at CCSInterior Design Group was honored to be part of this charitable
endeavor. For our first showhouse project, we took on the Jack and Jill bathroom,
embracing the challenge of creating a luxurious yet cohesive space that harmonizes
with the adjoining bedrooms. Despite its smaller size, the bathroom is designed to feel
grand, with every detail crafted to enhance both function and beauty.

In this thoughtfully designed space, the custom white vanity stands out against the soft
backdrop of Maya Romanoff's Modern Silk Vinyl Wallpaper, adding an understated
elegance. White Carrara countertops and floor tiles bring a classic yet sophisticated
appeal, while polished nickel vanity lights and brushed nickel cabinet pulls offer a
refined finish. The result is a serene, elevated bathroom that showcases how even a
compact space can embody true luxury.

This project is a celebration of history, design, and philanthropy—breathing new life into
a storied home while supporting meaningful causes in our community.
